Mowento Pear - Maple 37” x 3” 8” x 31”
 
A Japanese Vessel turned at a special angle serves as a base for a pendulum, similar to a spinning bowl, the only difference being a long stem which emerges from its center. Place it in the right position, breath lightly on the stem and the pendulum will start to swing slowly toward the center of the base, gainingmomentum as it goes, an apparent perpetuum mobile. How long will it stay in motion? Well, take some time and judge for yourself.
